Amanda Prager
is a filmmaker from New Jersey, currently living in Los Angeles. She writes and directs high concept comedy science fiction that hopes to make others feel less alone in their meat containers. She writes funny, real characters in unreal situations and dark stories with a nervy cheeriness rooted in queer identity. She sold her first horror screenplay in 2021 and has several projects in development.
She is a United States Presidential Scholar in the Arts and YoungArts National Scholar. Her dark comedies have screened at NYC Indie Film Festival, CineQuest, Heartland Film Festival, and the Smithsonian. She loves Korean BBQ, pole vaulting, and has synesthesia, which makes music super colorful.
